Ayelet Hashachar Hesder Yeshiva

Twenty-five years ago, a group of religious families and a Zionist Kollel started to operate in Eilat. The group members and the Kollel were all surprised to discover how thirsty the residents of Eilat were to learn Torah.

Their operations grew and grew, until the Ayelet Hashachar Yeshiva was founded 22 years ago. It has become the beating heart of Torah in the city.

There are approximately 120 students, both married and single, studying at the Yeshiva every day in the Beit Midrash, as well as approximately 60 students presently serving in the IDF.

The Yeshiva’s hundreds of alumni are involved in a diverse range of positions and activities throughout Israel.

The Yeshiva strives to cultivate Talmidei Chachamim and Torah-centered graduates through the study of Torah in a very deep and systematic way.

The Yeshiva's atmosphere encourages idealistic growth and selflessness for the good of Israel and the nation, as expressed through learning Torah, serving in the army, and contributing in other facets of Israeli life.

This drive to contribute is evident in our soldiers, who serve in elite units and even pursue officer and commander positions after their regular service.

The Ayelet Hashachar Yeshiva is the heart and driving force of the Religious Zionist community in Eilat. The Yeshiva's alumni are involved in many educational community positions in the city and are central members in these systems.
