Background

Named after Yehuda Greenfeld – a graduate of Ayelet Hashachar Hesder Yeshiva who fell in the
Second Lebanon War, leaving a wife and two children.

During our extensive educational activities in Eilat, we discovered that there are many families in
the city that face socioeconomic challenges. In the spirit of the verse, “And your brother shall live
with you,” we decided to establish a soup kitchen open to the residents of the city.

We work in a number of ways

Distributing thousands of meals every month to the needy, at the soup kitchen and at the residents’
homes.

Supplying a cook, kitchen staff and clean dining hall.

Organizing a volunteer system to visit the homes of needy individuals, helping them with whatever
is required.
